Dried Earth

The Summer's drought caused this small pond near to dry up, leaving cracks in the drying soil. My geologist brother informed me that these sort of cracks all form at triple junctures; nature's most efficient way of deforming. The same phenomenon is seen on the macro scale of continental plate triple junctures.
